Visas & Customs Requirements

Students:

Foreign students should secure an entry visa (tourist visa) to Lebanon from the nearest Lebanese embassy in their country. They should also have their passport valid for a period not less than 13 months from the date of joining the university.

Tourist Visa

• Validity : 3 months with single entry fee : 35 US$
• 6 months with multiple entries fee : 70 US$
• Required documents : Visa application form, valid passport, 1 passport-sized photo, an address in Lebanon
• Restrictions : do not allow to work
• Delivery time : 48 hours

Citizens of the USA can obtain a Tourist Visa directly upon arrival at the Beirut Airport, on condition that there is no Israeli stamp on their passports.

Visas obtained at the airport cost 18 US$ and are valid for one month only.

Student Visa

• Validity : one year
• Required documents : valid passport, proof of residence, university registration certificate.

Residence Permits for Students

Once in Lebanon, the « Office of Student Affairs » in most of the universities, provide the necessary certificates for registered students to enable them to acquire residence permits from the appropriate Lebanese authorities.
