Lebanon’s location makes it a vital crossroads between East and West.
The road network traversing Lebanon includes international highways, which form part of major land routes connecting Europe with the Arab countries and the East.
There are also national highways, paved secondary roads, and unpaved roads.
Railroads:
The Lebanese rail system is not currently in use, with services having ceased due to the country's political difficulties.
Aviation:
The main national airport is the Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport and is located in the southern suburbs.
